So, that was it. My busiest day of the year (as usual) at Farnham Christmas Market at Castle Street – so good to see my repeat and new customers and lovely people from my home town – families, senior and young couples, group of friends – all kindly stopping and looking at what I have been making. This market has always been a highlight of the year for me.
A family member coming back alone after the whole family spent time browsing through to secretly buy an item that the wife/daughter liked is always a lovely one. This happens a lot and I always get excited with them. It’s a privilege to be a maker.
I had to say good-bye to some of my pieces that I loved – but a particular one went to a customer who came to my stall several times this season, looked at it online and she decided to come to the last market before Xmas to buy it. Thank you! I am so glad it went to a good home.
It did rain quite heavily at times yesterday. Everything is now hanged to dry, And I am exhausted but very happy. I have several custom orders to make this week – but the 2023 markets are now over and done. Time to rest, refresh and plan for 2024.
